About the position
You will belong to the Molecular Cancer Diagnostics unit, which is part of the section for Molecular Cancer Diagnostics & Screening. Our main task here is to use molecular methods to investigate tumors and any genetic changes at the request of pathologists, which we then report back to the ordering physicians.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team together with doctors, engineers, molecular biologists, and biomedical analysts. We use the latest technology in DNA/RNA sequencing to contribute to more precise molecular diagnostics and thus create significant value for patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling incoming samples and performing quality controls prior to DNA/RNA sequencing work
- Working with various instruments (e.g., PCR, sequencing).
- Documenting results in laboratory information systems (LIS) and working in quality management systems
- Reporting deviations and incidents, as well as actively contributing to quality work by suggesting improvements in our workflows
- Maintaining contact with partners
- Performing regular cleaning in the laboratories, replenishing consumables, and unpacking reagents and other deliveries
We are looking for someone who

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Master's degree in molecular life sciences, e.g., biomedical analyst, biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular biology, biochemistry, or equivalent competence
- Experience in laboratory work with molecular biological methods
- Experience in documentation within quality, method descriptions, and/or verification reports.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
- Experience in accredited operations (ISO15189, ISO17025, or equivalent).
- Experience as a personnel/team coordinator.
- Experience in method and/or instrument responsibility.
- Experience in learning and development.
- Participation in regulatory inspections (e.g., SWEDAC).
- Good experience working with computers and IT systems as work tools.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
